Multispecies Design · Ecological Inquiry · Academic Research

Role & Context

Research Associate & Creative Lead

Post-Anthropocentric Design Lab, Shenkar College

Overview

At PADLab, I bridge the gap between theoretical research and design implementation. My role involves orchestrating collaborative projects, facilitating workshops, and developing methodologies that challenge human-centered paradigms. I work closely with lab leadership to translate academic research, focusing on multispecies relations and sensing, into tangible installations and public engagements.

Selected Project: The More-Than-Human City Guide (NABA, Milan)

I co-led two international research workshops (2024, 2025) at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) based on the concept of Umwelt (species-specific sensory worlds). We guided students in designing "sensory translation tools" and gamified protocols that allow humans to perceive the city through the senses of local flora and fauna. My role included curriculum development, on-site facilitation, and curating the final outcomes.
