ReactionTime digital-tactile performance

Overview

Reaction Time is a collective of curators and artists investigating the resonance of tactile crafts within the digital age. Rather than a traditional exhibition, the group functions as a "living laboratory" where distinct mediums, ceramic matter, sound, and code are decoded, disassembled, and reassembled in real-time. We explore how rapid technological changes impact our perception of materiality and preservation.

The Methodology: Decoding Matter

My role focuses on the convergence of the virtual and physical realms. Drawing on my background in dance and spatial analysis, I develop code-based systems that react to the live actions of the collective, translating the tactile manipulation of clay and the sonic landscape into dynamic digital environments. The result is a feedback loop where physical craft and digital code evolve together, questioning the boundaries of the "exhibition" format.
